We recently printed for a really dope Los Angeles brand called Plain White Steez. Most of these prints are printed with soft waterbased ink, which make the prints vibrant yet feel like its still part of the garment. One of them was printed digitally with our Brother GT-361 digital garment printer. With digital printing, we can print up to 256 Million Billion Zillion colors. Pretty unlimited. All tees are printed on American Apparel goods, Made in LA!
Dip Dye Tshirts is quickly becoming a trend in the fashion world. The fact that they are handmade, created with pantone colors that are chosen by the designer, and create a cool unique feel are all reasons why we print so many of them.Recently the band Poolside had us create their first run of merch for their upcoming tour. We made Tshirts and tote bags, both dip dyed specially to the colors that the band selected. Then we printed a simple one color print over top of them. They turned out very cool, and since then I have seen them being worn by people around the city!
We had the VERY unique opportunity to help out the amazing group Movember. These guys have a rad charity dedicated to various stages of Men's Health, and every November 1st they get everyone to go clean shaven, then grow their "MO" (short for Moustache) for the entire month of November, while simultaneously fund raising for supporting Men's Health. We worked with the artist Shawn Harris on the art, which was perfectly print ready and sloppy, allowing a lot of wiggle room with the print style that we like. Print was 3 colors on 18x24 paper. We used a 100# cover stock Flavor's Gourmet paper (color Smoked Sea Salt) with color matched Permaset inks. After printing, Shawn signed each one, then we hand numbered each one individually. After, we had to roll each of the 1300 posters into individual poster tubes (white glove rolled with tissue paper inside each one). 25 boxes of posters is never
The guys at M.A.R.S. clothing are cutting edge. They always are striving for doing something different and unique to stand out. They asked us to print an allover Tshirt for them after the shirt is already made. (since usually all over prints happen before the Tshirt is sewn together). To achieve this, we constructed a very large platen and burned a very large screen. Then we placed the shirt on the table, used a gold discharge ink and printed the entire shirt over, even onto the pallet...just had to clean it off between every shirt. Turned out really good. Great job guys!!
Team AOF are sick. They dont put as much concern on the regular things in life (like not riding your bike into on coming traffic) and kind of just do that they want. This sort of mentality has brought them a hefty following in the fixie bike community where they street race, ride for run and track race...all things in which merchandise is needed. We recently caught up with these guys and made them some brand new 3/4 sleeve baseball raglans with their logo on them for the upcoming fall season. They were stoked, and since then, their bikes have ridden even more arrow dynamic!
